Good start to training over the last couple of weeks pleased to have managed couple of runs over Dovestones, always a challenge. Today though is an official ‘rest day’ although i suspect Paul may get a cheeky ride in while I am at work!!
Fire on Marsden Moor
Standedge Road is a regular route on our cycle rides but today we gave it a miss as eleven crews from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were trying to control a fire covering about 3 sq km of land.
The fire on Marsden Moor is believed to have been started by a barbecue at Easter Gate, the National Trust said.

Another beautiful day for cycling, nice early start 7.00am!! Same route as yesterday adding another 4 miles at the end Isle of Sky down to The Ford Pub, Upperthong, Netherthong, Dean House, Honley, Netherton then back to Linthwaite 30 miles.
