First Stage. 122km (76 miles) with almost 1000m of elevation. Hopefully easy!

Takes the A207 out of London – any advice on how sensible this is is very welcome.

The Ti-Konki Challenge

Monday 16 August 1954 Alan Roebuck and his 7 companions David Senior, Douglas Blackhall, Harry Noble, Geoffrey Taylor, Ian Greaves, Glyn Webster and Brian Hutton departed from Huddersfield in an ex-army truck heading to Rome. 65 years on Andrew Roebuck and Paul Burluraux aim to follow their route cycling from London to Rome in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Over a two-week period they will cover over 1100 miles travelling through Calais, Lyon, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Menton, Genoa, Pisa and finally arriving at their destination Rome.
